Editor's Notes
- Before starting the presentation and within this title page, students will be asked to share with the class if they know anything related to the life cycle of a frog.
- The students will read with me the learning goals for this activity.
- Students will be explained that these changes are called metamorphosis (Life Cycle, 2001). These are the changes that occur during the life of an animal.
- I will explain the students how eggs begin as a single cell and sometimes several thousands are laid at once (Life Cycle, 2001). Students will be given some minutes to discuss the first stage with their team and explain the first stage using their own words. I will give them time to write the definition on their journal and draw a related picture.
- Students will be given time to share with their partner the definition and write it on their on words on their Science Journal.
- I will explain the students that the tadpole is preparing to become a froglet (Life Cycle, 2001). I will also give them the time to share with their partner what they learn about the third stage. They will have the time to write the third stage on their own words on their journals and draw a related picture.
- I will explain to the students that the froglets’ mouth is widen, their lungs are almost functioning (Life Cycle, 2016). Same procedure is followed. They share with their partner the definition and use their own words to write it on their Science journal and draw a picture.
- I will explain that the frog now has their lungs developed completely, legs, and no tail. The frog will mostly live on the land with very few times going back to the pond (Life Cycle, 2001). Students will also have time to share with their neighbors what stage five is, and write their definition and picture on their Science Journal.
- The students will give a name to each one of the illustrations as the teacher points to each one of them ( It could be out of order). They will write an answer in their whiteboards and students will show their answer once I signal them to show.
