Analysis of Jute Biomass Styrenated Methacrylate Epoxy Resin Sandwich Composite as a Raw Material
1. ANALYSIS OF JUTE BIOMASS
STYRENATED METHACRYLATE
EPOXY RESIN SANDWICH
COMPOSITE AS A RAW MATERIAL
A Presentation On
• BY GIRISH YUVRAJ SURVE
2. Fabrication of Composite
•Jute to biomass ratio-1:2 w/w
•Initiator – methyl ethyl ketone peroxide
•Promoter- cobalt naphthenate
•Initiator and promoter mixed well
•Solution kept for drying for 15 min
•Mixture is sandwiched between two jute sheets at 110
degree & 2 bar pressure for 5 hour
4. Relevance & significance
•Have low cost, easy availability, light weight,
biodegradable, low density, high specific strength
•Have many advantages over steel & aluminium
because of properties
Excellent corrosion resistance
Low thermal conductivity
High strength to weight ratio
Better design flexibility
Excellent impact & fatigue properties
Low maintenance requirement
5. AIM OF RESEARCH
•To use this composite worldwide in place of
construction materials like steel & aluminium
6. OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH
•To study the epoxy resin sandwich composite
•To improve strength of construction by using this
composite
•To analyse the advantages of this composite over the
other materials
7. FUTURE SCOPE
•Can improve properties by using different preparation
method of composite
•Can add more other components to improve properties
of this composite
•Can replace construction materials like aluminium,
steel, etc.
