GAP Architetti Associati (GAP AA) Announces Joint
Development Agreement with 1+8 Architect of Indonesia
ROME, 23 OCTOBER 2014: On Friday, Alessandro Ciarpella, Partner and Managing Director of GAP Architetti
Associati (GAP AA) announced the firm has come to terms on a joint development agreement with 1+8
Architect of Indonesia. The agreement is part of GAP AA’s strategy to expand its presence into Southeast
Asia. Franklin Rachmawan, President-Director of 1+8 Architect noted, ‘this is a golden opportunity to be able
to work together with an Italian architectural firm.’ Whilst Mr. Ciarpella added ‘we are extremely excited to
work with 1+8, and we feel this partnership represents a tremendous opportunity to work with one of
Indonesia’s leading design firms.’
According to Mr. Rachmawan ‘as we know in Indonesia, Italian products are very popular and highly
favored for their quality and consistency. GAP itself is a well-established firm and has a good
management team, and we believe they can enter the upscale market in Indonesia.’ Mr. Ciarpella, noted

The joint development agreement is the latest addition to GAP AA’s growing network in Southeast Asia,
which includes a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City and an agreement with 3DRied International in
Malaysia. All of which will help GAP AA to serve clients who are seeking design insights of an international
architecture firm for projects in their home markets, or in Europe.
In concluding, Mr. Rachmawan added ‘we are certain that a strong cooperation between GAP and 1+8
