To whom it may concern
I’m pleased to introduce architect Gaia Dal Cero.
Gaia started her internship at my Studio on October 2015 period during which she was developing her
Architecture final design project necessary for graduation at Politecnico di Milano Architecture School.
During October and November 2015 Gaia was involved in the dismantling phase of the Colombia Pavilion
in Expo Milan 2015, she was responsible of the accreditation and access of the workers to the construction
site. She assisted me attending and preparing draft minutes of several meetings between the Client, the
General Contractor and subcontractors involved in the dismantling process, between January and March
2016. Gaia also assisted me attending several inspections to the construction site to follow the work in
progress and to make photographic reports of the dismantling process.
Between January and February 2016 Gaia was part of the team for the design of an alternative solution
for the protection external layer for the facades and bamboo bearing structure of the Energy Efficient
Bamboo House recently completed in Baoxi (Longquan Province) China.
During March 2016, Gaia worked on three new projects as part of three different design teams. The first
project regards the initial proposals for a series of bamboo Pavilions along a pedestrian bridge at Liu Xian
Dong in Shenzhen China. The second project is a concept for a Sustainable Urban and Landscape Design
Strategy in the site of Crystal Island in Shenzhen city in China. The third project she was involved regards
the concept stage for a private villa in Subachoque Colombia.
In April, the last period of her internship, Gaia was involved as part of the team in the presentation and
the assembling of an artistic Pavilion made out of recycled bamboo from a previous Mauricio Cardenas
project in Expo 2015. The pavilion NABA DOMUS TXXI, concept in collaboration between Italo Rota and
Mauricio Cardenas, is an idea of an itinerant school and was assembled by NABA and DOMUS students
followed by two Studio Cardenas collaborators of which one was Gaia.
Gaia worked as well on the concept proposals for the interior refurbishment of the Canadian School of
Milan now under construction.
During the entire internship Gaia demonstrated passion, dedication and high drawing and technical skills.
She easily integrated in the design team and is respected by her co-workers. She concluded here
experience in my office with success.
It is for these reasons that I offer high recommendations for Gaia without reservation. Her drive and
abilities will truly be an asset to your office. If you have any questions regarding this recommendation,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
