THERE ARE MAJORLY 4 TYPES OF SENTENCES
DECLARATIVE SENTENCES
• They are used to provide
information or to declare something.
• They are always followed by period
(.)
• Declarative sentences can be
positive and negative
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES
• They are used to ask questions .
• They are always followed be
question mark (?)
• They usually begin with Wh words
Wh words – what , when , where , who
, whom , which , how , etc .

They are used to
• Give order
• Command
• Make a request
• Warn , instruct , advise , suggest , etc

EXCLAMATORY SENTENCES
• They are used to express great
surprise .
• They are always followed by
exclamatory mark (!)
