2. Nature of induced emf
 If the flux linkage with conductor changes due
to either magnet movement or due to the
coil movement an emf get induced
 The change in flux linkage can be practically
obtained by
1) Dynamically induced emf
2) Statically induced emf –
a) self induced emf
b) Mutually induced emf

3. Dynamically induced emf
 An emf induced due to physical movement of
either conductor or magnet
 A conductor of length l placed in the
magnetic field produced by permanent
magnet

5. Dynamically induced emf
 The conductor moves in plane which is
parallel to the plane of magnetic flux
 Therefore does not cut any flux hence
induced emf is zero
 The plane of direction of motion of the
conductor is perpendicular
 Therefore the cutting of magnetic flux is
maximum
 The induced emf in the conductor is maximum

 Expression for the magnitude
 E = B*L*V volts
B= flux density , L= conductor length
V = velocity
 E = B*L*V sin Ø
 Where Ø = the angle between plane of flux
and direction of conductor movement
