2. Surrogacy
Surrogacy is a form of reproductive technology. It is a
practice in which a woman agrees to become pregnant and
deliver a child for another couple or persons. Surrogates are
also known as gestational carriers because they are not the
biological mother of the baby but only a carrier of the fetus.

4. A gestational carrier is a woman who is implanted
with an embryo created from the sperm and egg of
someone else during an in vitro fertilization
procedure. The resulting child is not genetically
related to the carrier. A gestational carrier is not
biologically related to the baby in whose
pregnancy she's carrying the child (the genetic
mother).
