Workshop outline
This workshop will explore what gets in the way of your
tackling difficult conversations with staff and will provide
both pointers on how to conduct these conversations and
the opportunity to practise some strategies in a safe
environment.
Objectives
On completion of the course, you will be able to:
- explain what makes some conversations difficult
- adopt strategies to build your confidence in having
positive conversations
- describe how to give constructive feedback
- recognise “red herrings” and know how to respond
to them
- conduct positive conversations with team
members to enable them keep their behaviour and
performance on track
Participants
This workshop will be of benefit to those who have
responsibility for managing the performance and
behaviour of others. It will be useful for anyone who has
to give feedback on behaviour and performance in order
to keep it on track.
Workshop style
This fully participative half day workshop incorporates:
- individual and group exercises
- group discussion
- skills practice
- input from facilitator
The number of delegates is limited to a maximum of 12
on this workshop.
