Ms. AbilMona Recommendation
1. June 2nd, 2009
I am pleased to recommend Ms. Faten Abilmona for a teaching position in your school.
Ms. Abilmona has taught Arabic to my daughter in grade seven this past academic year at the
Universal American School in Dubai.
As a volunteer parent, I have had the pleasure to work with Ms. Abilmona on a number of occasions
involving school performances for both National Day and International Day. Ms. Abilmona always
shows receptiveness to new ideas, a willingness to give time above and beyond the call for duty to
help train the students for performances and a love for the school community that extends beyond her
Arabic instruction to support the school spirit in various activities, and promote the Arabic language
and culture within the school community.
She is proud of her Arabic Language and heritage and translates this pride to her students.
In the classroom, Ms. Abilmona challenges students to approach the Arabic language in a
contemporary teaching style so that it is in line the IB standards.
She encourages independent thinking, original thought, and novel ideas.
She challenges the students by suggesting extracurricular readings and promotes open discussions
in her classroom.
She is always available to parents for feedback and support, and has developed a friendly rapport
with both students and parents.
With Ms. Abilmona’s encouragement, my daughter has been more driven to excel in Arabic than she
ever was.
Whenever there is a new idea within the PTO or the Fine Arts Booster Club, I never hesitate to
contact Ms. Abilmona for support.
I believe that Ms. Abilmona has the knowledge, skills, and desire to be an outstanding teacher. She is
a worthy addition to any Arabic department and any school.
Please contact me if you feel that I might be of further assistance to you.
Sincerely,
Ghia Haddad
