2. • A blood pressure has caused a lot adverse effect to the body and as a
whole society if it remains untreated. Hypertensive state causes
increase in left ventricular diameter as well as mass.
• Worldwide estimates of the prevalence of hypertension in the year
2000 among adults aged 20 to 29 years were 12.7% in men and 7.4% in
women rising to 18.4% and 12.6%, respectively, in 30- to 39-year olds.
