4. I- Analysis environnemental structure
A – ISRAEL touristic trends
The professional magazine Tourmag published
surprising results on the first results 2015
Franco-Israeli tourism "Israel is attracting more
and more French tourists excellent vintage for
the" Promised Land ", which expects a 20%
increase in its. French tourists. the great
cultural richness of Israel, combined with
optimal safety standards, still wields great
power of attraction with respect to the French
tourists. "With 300,000 French tourists in
Israel, we already had a very good year in
2014," says Efrat Groman, director general of
the Israeli National Tourism Office. "For 2015
underway, we have already experienced very
good growth in July (40%) and August (20%) in
the French market.
5. For now, we are growing 15% for the past
months and we should end the year with an
increase of 20% of French tourists in Israel,
"she added. The distribution is effected as
follows: 60% of affinity tourism, 20% of
pilgrimage tourism (Jerusalem, Church of the
Nativity, Lake Tiberias, Capernaum, Bethlehem,
etc ...) and 20% more general tourism. "
IsraelValley MORE The hotel and tourism
sector in Israel has not regained its level before
the conflict in Gaza last summer: indicators
remain red. 1.3 million foreign visitors arrived
in Israel during the first five months of 2015;
this is a decrease of 18% compared to the
same period of the previous year.
6. LOWER DIRECT FLIGHTS TO EILAT
According to the indicators just published the
Israel Institute of Statistics, the tourism sector
in Israel has not given the military conflict in
the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014. The fall
of Palestinian rockets into Israel had fled the
foreign tourist to other more welcoming
destinations. Nearly a year later, the indicators
are still in the red.
From January to May 2015, Ben Gurion Airport
was allowed to enter Israel 1 million foreign
tourists, or 12% less than last year. As for the
direct flights that serve the resort of Eilat, they
transported 11.3000 tourists since the
beginning of 2015, against 34,200 tourists
during the same period last year: it is a sharp
decline from 30% of arrival tourists in Eilat.
7. LESS NIGHTS
The military conflict with Gaza has also scared
away visitors a day, mainly those that dock in
an Israeli port, as part of a cruise, or who enter
Israel by land (through the border posts of
Taba, Arava and Allenby). From January to May
2015, 95,000 day tourists arrived in Israel,
against 149,000 the previous year, a decline of
36%.
8. TURNOVER BERNE
The crisis of foreign tourism also affects the
turnover of the Israeli hotel industry . From
January to March 2015, turnover totaled 1.8
billion shekels ; 41% were carried out with
foreign tourists and 59% with Israelis ( nights
and other tourist services). In dollars, the
revenue generated by overnight stays of
foreigners decreased by 25% compared to
2014 ; the largest decrease was recorded in
Eilat.
And what are the favorite cities for foreign
tourists to spend the night ? During the first
three months of 2015, 35% of foreign sales
were made in Tel Aviv, followed by 28% for
hotels in Jerusalem. Since early 2015, Eilat
represents only 6 % of hotel revenue .

9. B- A focus on TEL-AVIV
Israel also suffers from a
reputation of being a relatively
expensive destination compared
to other Mediterranean countries
such as Turkey, Morocco or
Tunisia. In contrast, Israel
impresses with its excellent
infrastructure and its services, as
well as its fine cuisine and its
beautiful sites, a cocktail that
guarantees to have the money.
Some obstacles remain, however,
as the lack of air traffic or the
number of available beds. Building
restrictions in Tel Aviv slowed
hotel growth, explain the directors
of the Sheraton and the David
Intercontinental.
10. "We must also take into account the explosion
of real estate," says Jean-Louis Ripoche. "It is
not good for hotel investment or room prices."
Perhaps this is why there has been no
construction of new large hotels the past
fifteen years. Click to enlarge But the problem
that most tourism development threatens
Israel is the recent political events in the
Middle East and North Africa, with an
uncertain outcome, which could limit the
tourism development in the short and medium
term. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Tourism
continues to encourage investors. Israel today
has over 400 hotels with over 42,000 rooms.
Eight new hotels are being built in Jerusalem,
Herzliya, Ashdod, Netanya, Rehovot, Nazareth
and Mitzpe Ramon. By the end, Tel-Aviv is
expected to accommodate more and more
LGBT guests,
