PERMIT COORDINATOR

Permit Coordinator initiates and confirms equipment preparation with the Area
Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator as identified in PTW documents.
Responsible for coordination between Maintenance Forman (Instrumentation,
Mechanical & Electrical) and Production Coordinator + Operation Supervisor for
any Maintenances Activities to be on schedules.
Verify that the work place is safe to work prior to issue the permit by conforming
field condition to equipment preparer/ competent area operator.
Ensure work scope are well defined and understood, interacting jobs are cross-
reference and conflicting jobs are made safe, or suspended.
Ensure equipment preparations requirements are carried out safely and zero
energy test are completed as required before work commences.
Verify that all required hazard control system has been implemented, verify clearly
stated in related documentation and signed off prior for issuing a permit.
Maintain direct control over all isolation locks and keys associated with lock
boxes.
Maintain and properly file all documentation in compliance with PTW System
Record Keeping Requirements.
Ensure the non-delay of the Maintenance activities on plan shut down or Major
shut down.
Ensure equipment preparation requirements are carried out safely and zero
energy tests are completed as required before work commences.
Issue permits in locations/areas in which they have been authorized to (in writing)
by the responsible Superintendent.
Plays the role of Permit Coordinator and Equipment preparer for the works under
five Point Isolation procedures.
Only issue permits to work in locations/areas in which they have been authorized
to (in writing) by the responsible Superintendent.
Evaluate the work task to be performed and to confirm that the use of Five Point
Isolation procedure is suitable for that work task, develops the Isolation Lists, and
to report isolation deficiencies to our Operation Supervisor.
Establishes or coordinates isolations in plants, equipment and systems according
to the Isolation List.
De-isolate equipment according to the Supervisor’s requirements.

Observe routine check & Inspection of the production equipment and areas with
specific parameters such-us temperature, pump and motors bearings, rotation
equipment sound + vibration checking.
Monitor the functionality of the conveyors as scrapper, rollers, side skirts
Record to the datasheet of instrumentation reading and compared to the desired
value.
To load coal to the Power plan to ensure enough electric power/steam.
Ensure the limestone bin storage level is enough to feed the milling & calcining
plant by loading of limestone from stock pile with Loader 980H “CATER PILLAR”

Assist the Engineer and Person Certified who perform the Commissioning at the
first starting of the plant site (Power plant, water treatment) K.P.S.
Ensure the functionality of all the electric pump, piping of steam and water to be
used on that plant.
Perform the maintenance of all troubleshooting at the plant during commissioning
progress.
Report directly to the Maintenance Forman during inspection or work
maintenance to ensure the requirement of Commissioning.
