FIWARE iHubs focuses on matchmaking market solutions with internal challenges, accelerating the development, use and commercialization of FIWARE solutions, and nurturing a culture of digital innovation and collaboration at a local level. We understand that the driving force of the data economy is the collaboration between the many players in society, not just a single individual or company.
Each FIWARE iHub brings added value to local communities thanks to a technology that is addressing innovation needs and challenges in different sectors.
Each FIWARE iHubs is part of a worldwide community then, goes beyond regional boundaries and helps its clients to gain global positioning, get worldwide promotion and international scalability
Being part of a community, they benefit from multi-partner cooperation to reach their markets and a continuous technical enablement.
The session will bring on stage representatives from the FIWARE iHub Network sharing their experiences to grow digital innovation ecosystems in different regions around the world.
3. FIWARE iHubs WG3 goals:
● Define and implement services that could be
better offered in a collaborative way for FIWARE
iHubs, acting as Digital Innovation Hubs.
● Set up a methodology / a replicable process to
collaborate among the iHubs in a fair and
transparent way
12. ● Vision to engage and lead a collaboration process
● Identify needs / opportunities (aligned with FIWARE community strategy)
● List what we already have / existing assets
● Define what could be better offer in a collaborative way
● Get the manifestations of interest and build up (select) the stakeholders
group and team
● Prototype, sell, deliver (collaboratively) the services
● Iterate
A prototype of methodology to build
collaborative value propositions:

Data Space as a Service offer,
based on the deliverables from
Test before invest
15. ● Vision to engage and lead a collaboration process
Thanks to its strong involvement in i4Trust funded experiments (5 experiments supported, involving 25
SMEs), DIH FbN is willing to structure a “Data Space as a Service” offer based on i4Trust deliverables and
learnings.
● Identify needs / opportunities (aligned with FIWARE community strategy)
Support SMEs for entering the data economy and leverage Data Spaces. Leverage the FF participation
in i4Trust, DSSC, DS4SCC, Manufacturing DS, … and DSBA
● List what we already have / existing assets
FIWARE iHubs funded by i4Trust to support SMEs experiments. Operational deployment experience
and knowledge. Available infrastructures and tools. SMEs willing to develop their businesses around
data spaces. Ouranos-ws and its i4Trus plugin.
● Define what could be better offered in a collaborative way
“Test before invest” services to rapidly deploy/enter data spaces for SMEs and territories leveraging the
(current and future) DEP funded data spaces, following DSSC guidelines. Optimize cost, visibility and
impact.
● Prototype, sell, deliver (collaboratively) the services
Initiate collaboration among the FIWARE iHubs funded as i4Trust DIH and SMEs leading the i4Trust
experiments. For instance share a common i4Trust Marketplace instance, methodology to set up DS
governance, DS data models definition,...
● Iterate

Skills & Development
19. ● Vision to engage and lead a collaboration process
Thanks to its strong involvement in Open Agile & Smart Cities network and in Living-in.eu technical work group,
DIH FbN has supported the MIMs concrete applications in many projects managed by Local Government and
involving SMEs as solution providers, using the SOMWare.space to prototype and demonstrate the solutions and
their interactions with various users.
● Identify needs / opportunities (aligned with FIWARE community strategy)
Support Local Governments and SMEs for a better understanding of the MIMs to structure the needs in a public
procurement context for the implementation of urban data platforms, local digital twins, citiverse,...
● List what we already have / existing assets
Concrete implementation of local digital twins available in the SOMWare.space.
● Define what could be better offered in a collaborative way
“Test before invest” services to rapidly deploy digital twins and immersive 3D environments to engage and
manage a better collaboration and common understandings of all the stakeholders (Local Gov, SMEs, citizens).
● Prototype, sell, deliver (collaboratively) the services
Initiate collaboration among the FIWARE iHubs, especially those involved in EU funded projects like Cefat4Cities,
DIH2, BeOpen, ODALA, ...
● Iterate
And connect with:
Implement, demonstrate and improve the
Minimum Interoperability Mechanisms
