FAO Plenary ESP, 28-29 March 2018
Italian Soil Partnership
• Italy has joined the GSP sice its establisment
• In 2015 Ministry of Agricultural, Food, Forestry and Tourism Policies
incharged the NFP.
• June 2015 NFP together with Permanent Italian Representation to FAO
and Ministry of Agriculture organized a first meeting calling the
Environment Ministry, Reserch Ministry, Italian Scientific Societies that
deal with soil to promote partecipation of Italy in the GSP.
29/03/2019 3
The scientifc societies collect the experts on soil engaged in the
most diverse activities ranging from the istitutional, to professional orders,
the farmers’organizations, ecc.
Furthermore, different institutions identified the leaders,
but it was decided that
adhesions to ISP would remain open and voluntary.
Each institution sent an expression of interest to the national focal
point to participate
in the activities of the Italian Soil Partnership, on a voluntary
basis.
Research institution: CREA, CNR, ISPRA,
Universities: Palermo, Bologna, Piacenza, Bari, Foggia, Reggio
Calabria
Scientific Societies: SISS, SiPe, SICA, SIA, ecc.
Foundation: WHAF
Regional public administration: Veneto, Tuscany, ecc.
