2. Firstly, I made sure the picture for my front cover contained an actual college student (see
Figure 1) so it made my target audience feel more comfortable knowing a college student
is on the cover.

Next, the Front cover needed to stand out to students so they would
actually buy the magazine. So I decided to go with a red and white
colour scheme (see Figure 2) as these to colours go well together and
also are bright colours which will help the front cover stand out more.

Lastly, I needed to add cover lines which students would be interested
in. So I added in content that would help them around college mixed
with events that the students would be interested in e.g. “Revision Tips”
and “Upcoming Events” (see Figure 2).
3. The first thing I did with my contents page was
to make sure it had the same colour scheme as
my front cover (see Figure 3). This makes the
magazine flow better and gives an overall better
look to the magazine, making more people want
to read it.
Next, I chose some photos I thought represent
college students the most. I have 5 different
college students in my 3 photos on my college
page giving and overall, representation of the
students.
Lastly, I added some social media sites on my
contents page so the students could be in-touch
and up-to date with the latest college magazine
information, making it more relatable to them.
