1. Task 12 – Pitch:
I am creating a music magazine which will be a competitor to the current DJ Mag and other
magazines for this house style however it will contrast nicely with the other magazines so they are
not directly competing with each other but instead will be great to have together. My magazine will
appeal to the target audience of teenagers and young adults with feature articles from the most
popular DJ’s and also including interviews and even previews of their new tracks, also my
magazine will include lots of images relevant to the genre and also be colourful and vibrant as this
is what is portrayed with this type of music. My first issue will include photo’s of a DJ and also
many photo’s of the different software and hardware used. A media pack will be created which
shows off the popularity of the magazine and the statistics will show who is most interested. My
magazine will be full of interesting articles and images to entertain and engage the reader, also the
front cover will stand out to set this magazine aside from the rest.
