As a recent graduate from the University of Winchester, with a degree in
Creative Writing, I have many skills, which present me as a strong and
passionate employee. I have enjoyed many modules in my course that have
allowed me to access my creativity in new and innovative ways, pushing me
to achieve a higher standard of communication. I enjoy being able to
communicate difficult topics as well as enjoying the lighter side of
communication and writing. I work well under pressure, enjoying the deadlines
and working within a time period to produce the best work. I perform well
within a team, able to take charge as well as stepping back and encouraging
others to bring forward their ideas. I see myself as a supportive and friendly
co –worker, supporting others when needed but always putting my own work
and deadlines first. As well as my writing abilities, I also have an incredibly
artistic temperament, allowing me to access another aspect of creativity, and
letting me add something else to my work. I am motivated, organised and
used to disappointment and struggle. My degree has taught me to expect
struggle and to overcome that, and I always work for the best and nothing
less. I have always strived for perfection, working hard in any aspect of my
work, as well as striving to achieve the best for the task in hand. I not only
want to achieve the best for the company that takes me on, but I want to be
the best that I can offer.
Qualifications:
BA(Hons) Creative Writing 2.1 (Predicted) University of Winchester
22/9/2013 – 1/4/2016
During my time at the University of Winchester I have enjoyed both the
academic and social sides of it. I particularly enjoyed my modules in Media
Writing and Writing for Display as they allowed me to tackle issues I felt
strongly about as well as making my writing accessible to everyone. I also
enjoyed many of the more creative modules, such as Creative Vigilance,
allowing me to access a different side of creative writing and allowing me to
use my artistic side as well as my skills in writing.
