I started working in the Asian market since 1995, mainly India and China on the beginning.
The working field was as product manager/technical marketing and application technician.
Since 2007 more than 85% of the working time I am in Asia and more than 50% in China.
From the rest of the time mainly in India, but Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Korea
and Japan are other countries I worked with the agencies and visiting customer for commer-
cial and technical questions.
At the plants of Alcan/Amcor I was working with the colleagues from sales/marketing,
QA/QC, production and R&D together and educate them.
Beside this I have intensive contact to the pharmaceutical companies (MNC’s and domestic),
machine companies and supplier. Related to the regulatory issues I was in contact with the
SFDA for local and imported packaging materials and the USFDA.
I intended to be relocated at China (Jiangyin) in January 2010. Because of the take over of
Alcan by Amcor and change of the business structure and policy this could not be done.
I resigned from Amcor on 30.09.2011. Reason was that the development philosophy of the
company changed totally. I could not longer identify myself with the company.
I was starting my own business as consultant (PaConsulting). I was working for Indian, USA
and European converting, consulting and machine companies. E.g. I made technical decision
for laminating machine for cold form laminate for M/s SVAM from company Webflex (Tai-
wan). I validated the machine and did first runs for commercial production.
Additionally I am working as senior consultant for M/s Montesino (USA).
Since 1st
of October 2012 I am working with company Ansapack (Mumbai). My responsibility
is product development, application technique, technical sales and Quality Management. In
this function I was developing for Ansapack:
- Panblok (CFF) with all possible structures are used on the market
- child resistant/ senior friendly lid foils for European market (Panchild)
- lid foil for inline printing at HAPA printer (Pan-inline)
! approved and recommended by M/s Hapa as only producer in Asia
- laminates for tropical blister (Pantropical)
- lid foil for regulated market (print and heat seal lacquer)
- peel able lid foil (Panpeel)
- in development currently are:
- peel-push lid foil
- delamination resistant Panblok
- alternative pre-lacquer for lid foil
- for food customer outer wrapper for chewing gum and lid for yoghurt
3. - established supply chain for medical device packaging material from China and sales in
India and Europe
- build up cooperation with Indian company for products with extrusion laminating and
coating for pharmaceutical application (printing at Ansapack and selling in and out side
of India)
- organized the agencies for Ansapack in Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, South Africa
- followed up customer of Amcor that Ansapack could start to supply (e.g. UK, Spain, China,
Israel, Malaysia…)
- organized the supplier of the raw materials for the developed products in Europe and Asia
(film, paper, resins, lacquer, aluminium) and did audits
- introduced test specification at Ansapack
- modernized the QC lab and organised new instruments: GC and IR scanner from Labthink
- created the product specification (TDS) and Master Specification for Ansapack
- introduced numbering system for raw materials to avoid that specific information can go out
easy from company
- did basic work for establishing new plant at Ambernath for flexible division and initiated the
investment into new converting machines
- prepared specification for converting machines for the producer of multiple laminating /
lacquering machines and printing machines
- wrote marketing paper and white paper to introduce our products and technical service
