4. Overview
I would use this resource to help students recognize rhyming words. The
interactive aspect of this activity helps keep the students engaged. The pictures
help the student recognize the words easier which will be a huge help to pre k
students. Third graders will be more advanced and the teacher can adapt the
lesson to their development level, possibly making the rhyming words more
difficult in comparison to pre k words.
5. Universal Design
This lesson incorporates universal design because through the Smartboard lesson
the teacher is able to adapt the board to students needs. If a student is not able
see very clearly, the Smartboard can expand the letters and pictures so that the
student can see. This specific lesson supports universal design because the
teacher is able to change the pictures that relate specifically to the students
interests.
