This letter is my personal recommendation for Ericka Zaring. From May 2016 through October
2016, I was Ericka’s immediate supervisor at Poplar Network. During her time at Poplar Network, Ericka
was our Human Resources Supervisor and she executed her job remarkably well. While holding this
position, she practiced creativity in her problem solving skills and always delivered an excellent quality
of work. Ericka’s integrity was shown every day by her actions following her words.
As the Human Resources Supervisor, she was responsible for leading and delegating amongst
20+ interns to ensure company efficiency and intern satisfaction. To effectively complete these tasks,
Ericka would schedule 1-on-1 meetings and conduct trainings with interns. This gave her the opportunity
to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, respond to inquiries about issues interns were having, and
access appropriate resources to construct an effective solution for interns. In addition, Ericka enhanced
company productivity by making sure company policies and procedures were followed accordingly. For
example, she worked first hand with confidential documentation such as contracts and forms for new
hires. All of this documentation was then organized in a database for company records. Ericka embodies
the professional skill set and passion for Human Resources to excel at any job she acquires.
Overall, Ericka saw the bigger picture and understood how to plan accordingly for the long term
improvement of the company. She has wonderful intuition, which resulted in the organization having a
great retention rate and making the program exceptional for our interns. The implementation of
programs, such as the Human Resources Workshop, and the interpersonal skills she exuded has left a
lasting effect at Poplar Network. Her efforts has caused her to be an amazing asset to our Human
Resources Department. I highly recommend Ericka for employment, and we are giving her our highest
Poplar Network recommendation.
