• According to Kyle Cooper, the following 3
things make a good title sequence:
• Sets an expectation.
• Gets audience excited, makes them not want
to be anywhere else.
• dovetails seamlessly into the film proper.
4. What is important about the font used in
Seven?
The idea that it is a handwritten font, relates to
the character, as he is a serial killer who keeps
all these journals, and he is seen scratching
and it as if he is developing his own optical in
the bathtub or writing on the film. It makes it
seem all jumpy and mysterious.
5. Why is Deadzone a good title sequence?
Very simple typography and the music was
great, played out over time it was very
mysterious. It made an impression on him as
he realised at that point that he was
interested in film and his interest in
typography and graphic design could
somehow be the source of another vocation.
6. Why is To Kill a Mocking Bird a good title sequence?
Encapsulates the main character's obsession,
and it is beautifully photographed, the details,
the way that the marbles distort, the
background. The title is integrated instead of
being an afterthought it's just already there.

like pun that has to do specifically with what
