• Used to talk about events and situations
that happend in period of time that is
now finished
Ex. I studied German three years ago (I am
not studying German now)

3. VERB TO BE:
• Is very irregular. For example it has two “Was”
and “Were”
WAS  I, He, She, It
WERE  You, We, They
Ex. When I was a child, I lived in L’Hospitalet

4. REGULAR VERBS:
• We add –ed to the verb
FRY= Fried (-ied)
STOP= Stopped

5. NEGATIVE SENTENCES:
• The structure is always:
SUBJ + DID NOT + VERB (NO; IRREGULAR, -ED)

6. QUESTIONS:
• The structure is:
(WH-) + DID + SUBJ + VERB (NO; IRREGULAR, -ED)
