• Problem: Every item that went through the
Company equipment maintenance process
experienced 20.14% of all possible errors.
• Scope: The Scope was limited to all
maintenance functions which took place at the
Company level AFTER completion of the
PMCS inspection.
• Goal: Reduce error rate to below 10%.
• What is being measured? Number of errors
that occur within the Company’s equipment
maintenance process.
• How is it being measured? Comparing 2404s
to a correct DA2404 and data collection for
specific actions (i.e. placing part order within 2
days)
• What constitutes a defect? 19 different
defects (ex. Failure to write item serial number
on DA2404)

•Improved SQL 53% from 2.29 to 3.50
Addition Information
• The percentage of items that experience at
least one error decreased from 97.61% to
23.01%
• The process is now in Control
• All pieces of equipment that require repair are
effectively tracked and have parts ordered
• The Company Operational Readiness Rate is
98.3%
