MESOENVIRONMENT
The Mesoenvironment, also known as the industry
environment, refers to the intermediary layer of factors
that impact an organization, lying between the
macroenvironment and the microenvironment.
While the macroenvironment involves broader societal
forces, and the micro-environment focuses on factors
immediately surrounding the firm, the mesoenvironment
consists of elements such as industry trends, market
structure, and competitive dynamics.

COMPETITIVE PROFILE MATRIX
A strategic tool that provides a comparative view of a
firm against its primary competitors, focusing on key
performance indicators or critical success factors.
It aims to systematically identify where a company
stands concerning its competitors and the factors
critical to succeed in the industry.

Competitive Profile Matrix
Evaluate the overall scores to identify strengths
and weaknesses and develop actionable strategies
based on the analysis.
Competitive Position Evaluation
Conduct market and internal research to identify
industry-specific critical success factors and
consult stakeholders for their perspectives.
Identify Industry Critical Success Factors (CSF)
Allocate weights to the identified critical success
factors based on their strategic importance.
Assign Weights for each CSF
Perform an in-depth analysis of key competitors to
rate them on the selected critical success factors.
Compare and Assess Direct Competitors
Create the CPM matrix to visualize weighted
scores for each competitor and the focal company
on the identified factors.
Develop a CPM Matrix
