TRANSCRIPTIONIST | STUDENT BUSINESS SERVICES | AUGUST 2016- OCTOBER 2016
· Working as a transcriptionist or “scribe” at Student Business Services involves me directly with both closed
captioning for TV shows and dictations for financialcompanies. I have not only become more worldly and educated on
many topics, but I have also increased my typing speed and accuracy. However, the most important thing about this job
is its effect on my attention to detail. I show more of this nowadays than I ever have in the past.

MEMBER |AMERICAN GEOPHYSICAL UNION | JULY 2016- PRESENT
Page 2
· I was given a membership tothe American Geophysical Union by a professor who wanted to begin research with
me. This research was on a particular type of talc, which when hydrated, provides a volatility in Earth’s mantle. This
causes seismic and volcanic activity. The research included computer simulations of the mineralin high temperature
and pressure conditions to see how it reacted with water, just like it would in applied geology with water from the
ocean.
LIBRARY ASSISTANT | FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY | MAY 2016- PRESENT
· My work at Strozier Library at Florida State University involves patron interaction, operating and loaning
technology to patrons. Here at FSU, I help people troubleshoot various problems with finding books and using the
technology we have available in the library, such as printers, copiers, computers, and our online library system. As an
overnight worker, I help people at late night hours who may need extra assistance. I use the ALEPH system to check
books and technology in and out of the library, and I have used my spare time to practice my abilities with computer
programming and brushing up on my fluency of French.

develop my skills in andragogy and entrepreneurship, and even now, tutoring math is a great way for me to use my
abilities to supplement others’ success. I used many different types of software in this job, including Microsoft Office,

PERSON IN CHARGE / IN SHOP EMPLOYEE | JIMMY JOHNS | JULY 2013-DECEMBER 2016
· As an employee at Jimmy John’s, my most important responsibilities lie within management, customer service,
and food preparation. Making sandwiches with perfect accuracy and light speed is a main part of my work every day.
However, the job goes deeper than that; supervising coworkers first and ensuring customer satisfaction goes a long way
toward success. I also do custodial work and help with inventory. Recently, I have gained the title of Person In Charge (a
supervising position) which demonstrates my interpersonalskills, time management, and mathematics as I now deal
with money at the end of each shift. I also marketing work by handing out free sandwiches at events and spreading the
word about how wonderfulJimmy John’s is.
