1. TASK TWO: Foley Sound – time to experiment

Tapping on a metal sign. The plastic made it sound like rain pitter-
pattering on the ground.
Wind Wafted a piece of paper
around outside.
Wafted it too rapidly, so didn’t really sound like
wind.

Scratching Just scratching my leg. Scratching my neck was too quiet. Scratching on other surfaces.
Creaking door Stair gate. Using an actual door. Gate made a good creaking noise.
Waves Washing machine. Washing machine made a noise water noise.

Walking in the kitchen Walking in the bathroom.
Ticking clock My Mum’s Tea maker. There was a little background noise coming from
it.

I think the rain Audio was the best and sounded most realistic.

I think using the paper to sound like wind was the least effective.

I think the washing machine was the most unusual.
• What obstacles did you face?
I struggled finding objects to use and I couldn’t be too disruptive because of my family all working.
