HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA
PRODUCT REPRESENT
PARTICULAR SOCIAL
GROUPS?
 The media product we have designed has only two social
groups, the first one being two detectives who are dressed in
smart suites and keeping calm under pressure.
 Second one being the Irish in the IRA, represented by an
unconventional character.
SOCIAL GROUPS
The biggest social group in our media product is the ‘IRA’
there are many different factors why…
She is a high achieving woman which is represented in the
way she dressed, valuable jewellery implies she must be
brilliant at her job.
She isn’t recognised as an IRA agent as she’s such an
unconventional character to impose a threat.
You’d expect an IRA agent to get straight to the point
however (Sally) shows extreme self control.
ALTHOUGH…
 Sally wears sophisticated clothing which suggests she’d only
be a wealthy woman, elegant and respectful no one would
suspect anything.
She wears heavy make-up to emphasise she cares about her
appearance, yet cons people in to thinking that’s her only care
in the world.
Her appearance would fool all of the public she can walk
around the streets without worrying anyone is on her trace,
undetectable.
COSTUME
High angle shots are taking when Sally holds the gun to Emma
which indicated the power between the antagonist and
protagonist. It shows Sally is the stronger character.
 Close ups of her face shown her facial expressions which are
only ever evil. The audience can tell she’s thinking about a
way to get out of the mess she’s created.
 Long shots of her are taking showing her picking up the gun
indicate how important she is because she’s an important
character.
CAMERA ANGLES
The lighting outside is natural which keeps the realism of the
film going.
 Lighting in the interrogation room is low key the light above
sally darkens her face yet signifies her importance in film.
Also foreshadows she’s something bad is going to happen.
LIGHTING
 The name of the film is ‘Interrogation’ is in white and black
to make it stand out over the colour of the background.
 The typography is extremely basic yet effective, gives the
impression that there is more details to discover in the film.
