2. MY STORY
My name is Emily Caldwell and I am originally from Sarasota, Florida. I wanted to move
to a city to expand my cultural awareness and to experience all the great resources
Chicago has to offer. My interest in PR and communications stems from my childhood
playing with Barbie Dolls. Barbie was "the" greatest influencer, thanks to Mattel's
brilliant marketing strategy. Her branding has had a huge impact on my life personally
and professionally. Because of Barbie, I became interested in the communications
field and want to be able to create the same experience for others as she has for me.
Like her, I have held many different roles, from Marketing, PR, and event planning. I
strive to learn and challenge myself every day.

MILLENNIALS TO YOUR
RESTAURANT
"To maintain or establish any profitable business, you must be aware of your changing environments and

current population,* an active restaurateur should market and adapt their business to attract these new
customers to their foodservice operation..."

reminisce over lunch. Remind them of dinners at Grandma’s filled with smiles and Sloppy Joe’s. People
tend to associate food with sentiments from their past — foods that taste good can make us feel good too..."
