2. What have you learnt about new
technologies from the process of creating
this product?
3. I have used blogger to represent my work and to show the
processes to making my final product.
Using blogger allows me to publish my work onto the
internet. In the age of web 2.0 I have become a prosumer
as I don’t only consume work/information on the internet
but I have then produced pages of a magazine from that for
an audience over the internet.
4. Creating a blog has made me improve my presentation
skills. To do this I have presented my work using
PowerPoint, Slideshare, Prezi and Emaze.
5. Google was used as my main source of research about
current music magazines and conventions.
I used SoundCloud to upload podcasts to my blog. I
recorded the podcasts using my mobile phone’s voice
recorder.
I used bar charts and graphs to show results from audience
questionnaires to help create my product. Bar
charts/graphs are an easier way to display results and look
more interesting. They were produced using Microsoft
Excel.
6. I used Photoshop to create my front cover and contents
page. This allowed me to edit my photographs that were
taken on a digital camera, to make them higher quality and
to meet the genre of my magazine better.
I then used InDesign to create my double page feature
after editing my photographs in Photoshop. InDesign was
easier to use to create the structure of my page.
