2. I used a combination of both an IMac and a Macbook to create both the ancillary
tasks as well as my main product. My Mac experience from my AS project made the
construction of my A2 media products much easier.
3. We used this HD Canon camera to film all of our footage for our music video
and the photos which I used for my ancillary products
4. I used blogger to create a blog to document the progress throughout my
project. I recorded all of my research and planning as well as how I made the
ancillary products and main product. I also uploaded the product to my blog
when finished.
5. I used ‘Microsoft Powerpoint’ to create my presentations and then uploaded
them to ‘Slideshare’, before embedding the link on my blog.
6. We used ‘iMovie’ to create a preliminary music video to help us to gain confidence in
editing footage. This was really easy to use and we were able to
experiment with various transitions, titles and effects to make our video more effective
and appealing to our target audience.
7. We used Adobe Premiere Pro to edit our final music video. This enabled us to again use
various transitions, titles and effects to make our video more effective
and appealing to our target audience. However Premiere is more advanced than iMovie,
and it was harder to use, although allowed us to end up with a much better end product.
8. I used ‘Adobe Photoshop’ to create my magazine advert and digipak. It
includes many tools which I used to make the media products link with
my main product, more effective and appealing to my target audience.
9. After creating an account, I uploaded some of my photos to ‘Photosnack’
so that I could present them on my blog in a photo gallery by embedding
the link.
10. I used Youtube a lot when planning and researching to learn about the
conventions of dance and acoustic music videos. I also used Youtube to
upload my own video, to enable me to upload it to my blog and also so
that others can see it easily
11. I used ‘Quicktime’ to take a screen recording of me using iMovie to
demonstrate some of the skills I learnt when using the program (editing blue
tones). I found ‘Quicktime’ very easy to use and it successfully shows how I
managed to use various tools within iMovie.
12. I found the internet extremely useful when it came to researching, as I was
able to find out a huge amount of relevant and interesting information. By
searching “fonts” in ‘Google’, I found the website ‘Dafont’. This allowed me to
find any font I needed which helped me to create visually attractive ancillaries.
13. In the evaluation process, I uploaded my video to Facebook to access my target
audience directly and ask for
their response.
14. I used emailing often throughout the project, this allowed me to gain contact with my
actresses, my teacher and when contacting sony to ask for permission to use the track
which my video is to. I also texted and imessaged a lot to plan filming dates with my
actresses and co producer.
