• Reduced structural steel within the building
allows for ample free-standing interior space.
• It’s a natural fit for an education facility’s
gymnasiums, cafeterias, and other expansive
areas.
• Domes also are more energy-efficient than
traditional designs, meaning the District will
save on operational expenses over the life span
of the buildings.
EARTHQUAKE PROOF, ERUPTION PROOF
CAN BE AN EVACUATION CENTER.

• While domes are a great financial decision, they also provide a
level of protection from tornadoes, earthquakes, and fires that
traditionally constructed buildings cannot.
• Domes exceed all strength and safety requirements. When you
need a school building constructed please consider saving your
community millions of dollars, providing the safest
environment for your children, and reducing your utility costs
by building a monolithic dome.

DR. CRIS BELAS
PRINCIPAL
Dear Daraga Science International High School Community, Parents and Students:
I want to extend a warm welcome to the Science International School. The senior/junior
high school years are very important in a child's life as they master their skills and begin
looking at tertiary options, whether that be a four year college, technical college, the military,
or the workforce. With that in mind, school year has brought about some exciting changes.
Personalized learning is now a focus for all K-12 students. This allows our students to work
at their readiness level, rather than grade level. We as educators need to ask ourselves what
our goal is. Is it to get through content, or for students to learn and achieve mastery? Science
International School, students have the opportunity to demonstrate mastery at any time
throughout the course. We understand that students learn at different rates and in different
ways. Our primary goal is to create life-long learners.
"Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you
found it." - Mariam Edelman
As the principal of Daraga Science High School, I believe it is my responsibility to continue
to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for all. I look forward to working with
each and every one of you. My office is always open if you have any questions or concerns.
