• The goal of my PLN is
to create a Health
information network
for Children to share
and learn with a
community of
educators and
connected learners via
social networks.
4. I found Twitter to be most useful for health
educators. Health Education may not
produce the desired effect of behavior
change. A quick tweet on a daily basis is a
great way to keep followers motivated and
educated in health, thus being a more
effective teaching tool.

discovery tool that people use to collect ideas
for their different projects and interests.

“Pins”) that they use to do things like plan

• This site was a big challenge and success
for me. I was able to use resources (You
tube videos, call the tech support @ the
site) and began to understand the amazing
ability to access and search for resources of
global interactive presentation. It is a free
on-line community for educators.
10. The purpose of Promethean Planet is to support teachers in using
technology effectively. It provides access to:
• Lesson plan exchange including over 32,000 downloads in over
22 Languages
• Free image, sound and video resources mapped to national and
state education standards
• Forum and Discussion areas
• Professional Development materials
• Free software downloads

11. I have fallen in love with on-line learning. I have discovered the
world of social media and how to use it effectively in the global
world of education. By taking this on-line course on moodle, I
was able to develop a Personal Learning Network to engage in
the world of global resources, educators, and learners. I feel I
now have new skills and confidence to go forth to serve.
