Renovation of LEED Silver building in SW DC. The Lamond Recreation Center Rehabilitation includes the renovation of the
Gymnasium complete with a refurbished floor, repaired bleachers, installation of wall padding, freshly painted walls, installation
of new sports equipment and furniture. The renovation of the Lobby, Offices and Hallways at Lamond included the installation
of the new tile and counter tops, the installation of new directional sign, and providing new furniture and electronic devices.
Exterior repairs included the installation of a new walkway, repair flooring, fencing and gates at the playground, power-washing
the building, and repainting the parking lines, and cleaning and improving landscaping

Ground up LEED Silver 22,500 square-foot facility. The library seats more than 200 users and allows easy access to state of the
art technology, and education materials. This is revolutionary new library construction project. I was involved in all pre-
construction and design-build services. During the construction phase, I was in the primary quality control contractor
overseeing and managing the expansive and complex exterior curtain wall system and interior finishes.

DCPS (District of Columbia Public Schools) project of an interior fit out of existing classrooms, corridors and student common
areas plus new MEP Systems. Renovation inclueded: Concrete, Masonry, Metal Fabrications, Doors, Interior Glazing, Finishes
and FF&E. These Phase 1 projects are often referred to as the “Summer Miracle”, having only eight weeks to complete almost
an entire school. My role was to coordinate the construction and pre-construction, quality control, budget control activities of
this fast track project. As a result construction was finished well ahead of the needed completion dates and within budget; so
the kids could return to school.

2. Stuart Hobson Middle
School

Scope of work included complete MEP upgrade to the existing systems, a gym renovation, and a Museum Program that
includes a 13,918 sf building addition. MEP upgrades will include all new heating and cooling equipment to control room
temperature and new ventilation equipment to provide improved indoor air quality. The gym renovation component will
include the demolition of two small gyms and combining them to create a modern full-sized middle school gym. The Museum
Program will include space for an Art Room, Museum Science Room, Drama/Choral Room, and a Music/Band Room.
Classrooms will also incorporate new flooring, wall finishes, acoustical ceilings, IT upgrades, furniture, and light fixtures. Other
school improvements include a renovated main entrance lobby, administration area, corridors, stairwells, and all new toilet
rooms.
Plummer Elementary School
