organization and its IT systems
• Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes Operational
• Manage all aspects of shipping activities for the company marketed product (containerized), liaising with all
concerned parties, including Producers, feeder operators, shipping lines, transporters and 3PLs to ensure
smooth workflow.
• Lead freight negotiations with shipping lines/land transport companies as required.
• Lead negotiations with warehouse operators and maintain relationship.
• Liaise with Marketing & Sales Department as necessary regarding quality/quantity of delivered product,
monitoring customer complaints related to delivery of product to ensure speedy resolution.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as
customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or
minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
• Monitor and control all costs related to supply chain activities to keep them at the lowest possible rates in line
with the defined policy.
• Responsible for managing the risk of supply chain and distribution activities of the company and its partners.
• Maintain and implement SOPs, Quality and HSSE systems in the supply chain department.
• Manage documentation flow matches desired product flow to ensure no disruptions to logistics operations.

Stores & Logistics:
• Manage & maintain all fleet equipment in a safe and user ready condition. Ensure product availability, right
quality, quantity, place and time to meet operational demand. Manage warehouse & fleet assets to meet
supply chain demand.
• Develop, directs and monitoring the yearly annual inventory which includes and not limited to material
planning, staffing, product sourcing, fleet and warehousing to meet the set objectives.
• Prepare and execute departmental budget for manpower, spares, consumables and fleet major overhauls.
• Sets warehousing & Logistics performance standards and aligns organization.
• Leads problem solving activities for warehousing/logistics operation; coaches on process improvement.
• Co-ordinate product sourcing and warehouses to ensure product availability in the right place, right time,
right quantity and quality.
• Develop procedures to eliminate loss or damaged product in warehouse and during transportation.
• Develop staffing and skill building for the warehouse/logistics operation that directly links to objectives.
• Implement performance management process for direct reports.
• Ensure that an annual performance review is being conducted with all warehouse personnel.
• Communicate product availability performance regularly to CEO and other department heads.
• Manages the process of stocktaking.(INVENTORY CONTROLING)
• Assuring that availability, monitoring and control of all warehouse products and spare parts.
• Managing all local purchasing activities in cooperation with the rest of
Company departments.
• Ensure safe operating conditions exist throughout the warehouse operations.
• Promote security awareness among Supply Chain employees.
• Assure that product quality is within specification by storing and delivering it in the optimum conditions.
• Optimizing logistics operations to assures lowest cost possible with highest efficiency service.
• Ensure that health and safety is of paramount importance liaising with the Health and
Safety term to ensure all employees operate safely and respect the UAE Health and safety regulations.
• Motivates, coaches and provides training for the department.
• Managing logistics, Fleet operation, and inland transportation to factory warehousing and transportation
of distribution of the products.
• Coordinating with various departments for implementing / monitoring effective Logistic System.
• Negotiating with transporters, shippers, etc to ensure seamless and cost-effective movement of consignment.
• Dealing with Couriers/ Transporters; monitoring the performance by analyzing delivery time.
• Plan, arrange and manage mobilization and demobilization of employees and all facilities in sites/projects.
Sourcing / Procurement:
• Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective suppliers for procurement with an aim of
improving quality & reliability.
• Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials &
maximum cost savings; developing sufficient number of reliable and reputed sources of supply for different
items required.
• Negotiating with suppliers after analyzing quotations duly giving fair opportunity to all participants.
• Releasing Purchase Orders and follow up till the material is actually delivered as per the schedule.
• Drive best industry practices within the organization and the support supply base.
• Implement a supply chain strategy.
• Lead the strategic development and supplier relationship management.
• Manage supplier base and monitor order rates, inventory levels and delivery plans.
• Manage supplier contract negotiations
Materials Management:
• Following standardization by taking into consideration the size of replenishment order quantity in order to
avoid large storage space and lowest possible cost of acquisition and possession in consultation with User
Departments.
• Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies/ contingency plans for
commodities and ensuring that plans are aligned with production/ project requirements.
• Overseeing inventory management systems where in planning goods receipts, goods receipt for orders,
goods issues, transfer postings, stock transfers and special procurement types like consignment,
subcontracting.
Purchase:
• Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies/ contingency plans for
Commodities and ensuring that plans are aligned with production/ project requirements.
• Coordinating with user Departments for material requirement planning & purchase planning ensuring
continuous supply at optimum costs.
Vendor Management:
• Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with
an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
• Carrying out vendor localization/ indigenization for curtailing costs of materials as well as negotiating the
terms of credit with vendors as well as the cost of material required.
Quality Assurance & Control:
• Monitoring adherence to quality systems, quality standards and maintaining requisite documents.
• Implementing quality systems in the organization to reduce rejections and ensure zero defect products.

Manage warehouse & fleet assets to meet supply chain demand. • Develop, directs and monitoring the yearly annual inventory which includes and not limited to material planning, staffing, product sourcing, fleet and warehousing to meet the set objectives. • Prepare and execute departmental budget for manpower, spares, consumables and fleet major overhauls. • Sets warehousing & Logistics performance standards and aligns organization. • Leads problem solving activities for warehousing/logistics operation; coaches on process improvement. • Co-ordinate product sourcing and warehouses to ensure product availability in the right place, right time, right quantity and quality. • Develop procedures to eliminate loss or damaged product in warehouse and during transportation. • Develop staffing and skill building for the warehouse/logistics operation that directly links to objectives. • Implement performance management process for direct reports. • Ensure that an annual performance review is being conducted with all warehouse personnel. • Communicate product availability performance regularly to CEO and other department heads. • Manages the process of stocktaking.(INVENTORY CONTROLING) • Assuring that availability, monitoring and control of all warehouse products and spare parts. • Managing all local purchasing activities in cooperation with the rest of Company departments.

Sourcing / Procurement: • Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective suppliers for procurement with an aim of improving quality & reliability. • Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings; developing sufficient number of reliable and reputed sources of supply for different items required. • Negotiating with suppliers after analyzing quotations duly giving fair opportunity to all participants. • Releasing Purchase Orders and follow up till the material is actually delivered as per the schedule. • Drive best industry practices within the organization and the support supply base. • Implement a supply chain strategy. • Lead the strategic development and supplier relationship management. • Manage supplier base and monitor order rates, inventory levels and delivery plans. • Manage supplier contract negotiations Materials Management: • Following standardization by taking into consideration the size of replenishment order quantity in order to avoid large storage space and lowest possible cost of acquisition and possession in consultation with User Departments. • Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies/ contingency plans for commodities and ensuring that plans are aligned with production/ project requirements. • Overseeing inventory management systems where in planning goods receipts, goods receipt for orders, goods issues, transfer postings, stock transfers and special procurement types like consignment, subcontracting. Purchase: • Directing the development and implementation of key procurement strategies/ contingency plans for Commodities and ensuring that plans are aligned with production/ project requirements. • Coordinating with user Departments for material requirement planning & purchase planning ensuring continuous supply at optimum costs. Vendor Management: • Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability. • Carrying out vendor localization/ indigenization for curtailing costs of materials as well as negotiating the terms of credit with vendors as well as the cost of material required.
