This document describes a hand movement based system for controlling a fan and light. The system uses MEMS technology to detect tilt movements which are read by a microcontroller. The microcontroller then controls the direction of a DC motor fan and turns the fan and light on or off based on the registered tilt values from the MEMS sensor. The circuit uses a step down transformer, rectifier, and voltage regulator to power the system from a 230V AC source.
