4. MAIN FINDINGS
• Increased volume of temporary migrants between India and Europe mostly in
the category of students and high-skilled workers
• Growing scope for lifestyle migration over tourism
• Knowledge of English language makes movements and integration easier
between India and EU
• Religious affiliations reducing among youngsters
• Remittance flows from EU to India is considerably more significant than that
from India to EU
• Cultural differences are very significant
• Interest in politics is significantly low among temporary migrants

• Government interventions
• Making bureaucratic processes hassle free
• Creating awareness among locals
• Safety concerns to be addressed
• Legal and cultural awareness to be created among migrants
• Role of media
• Utilising the return migrants in a positive way
• Investing on lifestyle migration initiatives
• Providing consultancy services to temporary migrants for finding
accommodations and other necessities for stay
