• The most common cancer in young men 15-40 years old
• Relatively rare type of Cancer
• Caucasian men have the highest risk
• Low mortality rate
• Pure Seminomas
• 40 percent of all testicular cancer and are made up of immature germ cells, Usually,
seminomas are slow growing and tend to stay localized in the testicle for long
periods
• Nonseminomas
• Cancers that often occur in combination with one another, arise from more mature,
specialized germ cells and tend to be more aggressive than seminomas
4. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
• Painless lump or mass
• Heavy sensation
• Low abdominal pain
• Enlargement or swelling
6. STAGES OF TESTICULAR CANCER
• Stage 1
• Cancer is only found in one testical
• Stage 2
• Cancer has spread to the lymph nodes in the abdominal
• Stage 3
• Cancer has spread beyond further than the lymph nodes
• Recurrent
• The cancer has returned in either the same place or another
