Ph.D. Education, St. Joseph University, Beirut, 1994, BA History and MA. Education
from American University of Beirut 1967 and 1971.
Founded Tala Establishment for Educational Aids and Instruments in 1984, and is
directing it ever since.
Lecturer in the Department of education at the American University of Beirut since 1985.
Coordinates and conducts training workshops in AUB on various topics since 1990.The number
of these workshops exceeded 74 ranging from two days to 18 days each in Lebanon and other
Arab countries (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt).
Since 1989, through Tala Establishment, designed and conducted 48 training workshops for
teachers and coordinators in kindergartens and early elementary classes, librarians and facilitators
in nongovernmental organizations in different areas in Lebanon and in Bahrain, Dubai, Arab
Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia (for Professors in the division of
Education King Saud University. Also conducted workshops for Arab community schools in
London, Lausanne and Geneva
Supervised and participated in designing Official Kindergarten Curriculum in Lebanon 1997,
Kingdom Schools in Riyad KSA, 1998, for New School Program in 7 Districts in Egypt, 2004-
2006, for kindergartens in Palestinian camps in Lebanon between 2008 -2012.
Education Consultant practicing missions in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Educational
Material and Child’s Rights Education for: Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs- Lebanese Higher
Council for Childhood, Lebanese Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, Education
Development Center – Washington, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDP, ALECSO, attending to
missions in Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Arab Emirates, and Bahrain and Lybia.
Designer of educational games and instructional material, in Arabic, a number of which
was awarded.
Writer of Children’s stories, won a number of Lebanese, Arab and International awards.
She has a number of Researches and Publications in form of Books, teachers’ guides, articles
in journals and papers that were presented in Lebanese, pan Arab and international
conferences, on women, children’s literature and culture, and education.
Member of Lebanese Association for Educational Sciences- member, member of the Board of
Directors of Dar Al Nadwa., member of National Association for the Education of Young
