High School: The Early Years
My early years of high school were the greatest years of my life. High school came with a lot of new things, varsity sports, driving, and even spending
more time out with friends. Even though most of these things are everyday normal activities now, they were brand new to me in my early years. I
discovered and made routine of many new things throughout my first three years of high school. School work, activities, and even sports were entirely
different in high school compared to junior high. Although I wasn't used to the life of a high school student, I caught on and began to love it very
quickly.
It all started my freshman year. When I arrived at school on my first day of high school, I knew my life was going to be very different. For starters,
the classes seemed to have made a big change. My classes were different because each one required more work and dedication. The one thing I
remember loving most about my freshman year was the new friends I made. Because of my involvement in high school sports and clubs, I was able
to make friends with most upper classmen. One of my favorite memories was track season. I ran a relay with two seniors and a sophomore in my
school and we all became really close. That season brought us closer together than we would have ever imagined, and I'm proud to say that I made it to
state with them.
My sophomore was very similar to freshman year, but much better. My classes were more fun, and I got along with my upper classmen even better
than before. Through sports, I made endless memories with the people I called my friends, family, and teammates. They meant the world to me, and I
believe it was this year that I learned and valued the true meanings of brotherhood, commitment, and adversity. My football team is an example of this.
We started the season of eleven–man football with sixteen players, but by week four, we only had twelve left. One of our men left was hurt so we
had to play that game with eleven people. We were given the shameless option by the coaches, school, and administrators to forfeit the rest of the
season, but we decided to keep playing. Almost all players played every snap that whole season. Most of us had injuries like me; two

There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that was elementary. Those were the best school years
of my life, having nothing to care about, the school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was also
beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the beginning of ourhigh school career, parents and teachers
always tell us students that it's the best four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found high

I was working harder than ever to finish high school early and it had really paid off. I prepared and prepared but it wasn't enough to my surprise.
Graduation was not that far away and actuality was about to strike me like a lightning bolt in the butt.
The most significant practice of the year approached us seniors. The staff put us into groups to keep all the seniors in order. We all were divided
into sections and labeled after letters and numbers. Soon after, all the senior class entered the auditorium in an orderly fashion. The practice had
us recall memories of our freshmen to senior years. I saw a video that showed pictures of my youth to a young adult. I begin to think of the past
and how much fun I had growing up. I also thought about how I would never see some of my friends again. After some time, the staff wanted us to
practice walking across the stage. I did not quite understand why we needed to do this; I figured they wanted us to see how fast our life would flash
in front of our eyes. At last, practice was over and I was able to go pick up my cap and gown. During this time, I thought about the next day and how
it would be the end of another chapter in my years.
Graduation day arrived and I had butterflies out of this world. It seemed as if I misplaced everything. I could not find my dress. My family came from

less shy and get out of my comfort zone. When I was in seventh grade, my cousin had wanted to go to her friends house that was right by mine.
When I was first introduced to her friend Angel, I didn't really like her, mainly because I didn't know her too much, yet did I know she was going
to turn out to be my best friend. When I started hanging out with Angel more, we found out that we were both in a depressed state, and I think we've
helped each other with that. Also, she was the first person that I could finally be my crazy self with, going to the store with face masks on, or
drawing on ourselves to look like a "chola". She has helped me to be much less shy, and start getting out of my comfort zone more often.

As the end of the night approached us, I couldn't stop thinking about how many mixed emotions I had about starting a whole new chapter in my

The first thing anyone will tell you to do in high school is to simply be involved. There are many ways to be involved with high school, the only
problem with being involved is choosing the right activity or club for you. My advice for anyone who wants to be in a club or a sport is to give

When it comes to assignments you either succeed or you fail. If you're like me, you have most likely mastered failure unfortunately. In reality is
failure a bad thing? In certain cases failure is not so bad. Failing can be frustrating but when you fail at whatever you are doing you can easily learn
from that failure and correct yourself and next thing you know you're passing that class you were just failing. Now success is a different story. Success
is probably one of the most rewarding feeling there is, especially when you pull an all nighter on that composition you forgot to do last week

Memories are important because you can just think and your mind gets transported back to another time. Everyone has memories that matter so much
to them that they can remember the most minuscule details no matter how long ago it was to them. To me one of those memories is the day I
graduated high school. I could reflect about the big, fancy ceremony everyone generally thinks of. I also could think of everything I did that day and
