Before deciding to pursue my Associates Degree in Business Administration I too was trying to receive my degree in Early Childhood Education
and Development. I have a 2 year old daughter so I realized my passion for being a mother and I had decided I wanted to teach preschool. My reason
for deciding to change my associate degree was for more opportunities for advancement and income. I find it incredible that you are a nanny, it

a long period of time, the infant may have trouble developing correct sensations, motor skills, and perceptions. There are four main styles of
parenting; authoritarian, permissive, uninvolved, and authoritative. Each of these styles of parenting has their own characteristics which apply to
how the parent raises the child. The authoritarian style of parenting generally means that the parent is overbearing and does not feel the need to
explain anything to the child. In this type of environment the child does not receive much freedom at all and is not able to make decisions on his or

My earliest memory I remember as a child is around the age of two years old. My Mother would put me in the playpen but I refused to stay. I was
able to climb out of it. I remembered my Mother's face expression that let me know that I better not climb out of the playpen again. This was one of

My preparation for becoming a teacher began in grade 12. During this year I coached the varsity field hockey team at my high school and I became
a camp counsellor. Both roles were very different, but taught me about the importance of leading by example and giving positive feedback to

Throughout my course work I have learned how essential Early Childhood Education is to the proper growth and development of young children.

CJ's job is to find the silver car. He must look under the cones until he finds the silver car. Next is another physical activity. CJ must stand a certain

27 programs evaluated, six showed strong indication of effectiveness and five had moderate evidence of effectiveness. The results for these programs
were on language, literacy and/or phonological awareness. For some of the studies the significant effects were seen at the end of preschool (Direct

Benefits of Early Childhood Education The earlier you enrich a child's life with an education, the greater the outcome will be in the future. Parents are
the first teachers of young children. Children acquire their knowledge and actions from observing their parents. That is how their minds develop and
how they obtain certain skills. They learn the basis of reading and writing skills at young ages. Having an early education helps later down the road
with saving money. Early Childhood Education leads to social and emotional development, increased literacy, and fiscal savings. The first outcome of
early childhood Education is social and emotional development. The key to a critical foundation for lifelong learning and development is positive social
