About volume testing

2. VOLUME TESTING is a testing done on high volume of
data.It belongs to non-functional testing. It is performed in
the part of performance testing where a software product
or application with high volume of data is tested,like huge
number of data files or data records in the system.It is
also known as Flood Testing.

3. Why is volume testing used:
• To check the system performance with increasing
volume of data in the database.
• Volume testing will help to identify the capacity of the
system or application – normal and heavy volume.
• To check the efficiency of the system by increasing
the data.
