- I am very interested in helping people improve their quality of life through wellness,
nutrition, fitness, stress reduction, tobacco cessation, and healthy habits.
- I understand that as a health and fitness professional I must lead by example and stay
active and in-shape, eat nutritionally, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
- I enjoy volunteering to help with base fitness/wellness events and Sinclair Wellness Day
and plan to continue volunteering for health education/wellness events.
- I have learned business skills from my Associate’s Degree in Business Administration
that will help me be a better leader of management and financial aspects of public health
programs.
- I seek opportunities (such as encouraging individuals to use the stairs and walk more) to
motivate individuals to begin and continue with healthy behaviors.
- I have a strong work ethic and my responsibilities while working at the base fitness
center have strengthened my character and motivated me to work harder.
- I am motivated to continue to learn as much as I can about health education to help me
plan and implement successful health education programs.
- I have the ability to see what needs to be done on the job and do it without being told.
- I am organized, punctual, conscientious, display great attention to detail, and can be
counted on to finish tasks on-time.
- I am a team player and willing to lead when necessary.
- I learned to understand the benefits of using fitness assessment tests to assess overall
wellness from my Associate’s Degree in Exercise Science from Sinclair Community

2. 2. Identify any area or problem that may inhibit your ability as a graduate of this program

chosen?
My career objective is to be involved in health promotion and education. I would like to
work at a large corporation or government agency wellness center to promote healthy
lifestyles for employees who would lower their health care costs, decrease absenteeism, and
increase productivity. An alternative would be to work at a local, county, or regional public
health organization to promote healthy behaviors among populations and reduce health
disparities through education, media, and policy initiatives.
Statement of Computer Access
4. I have access to a computer and to the Internet through a computer of either my own, Wright
