Jacy Phillips received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University in 2015. For her senior design project, she characterized corrosion resistant secondary phase precipitates during heat treatment of a zirconium alloy for General Electric. This involved heat treating samples, preparing them for testing, and collecting microstructural data through thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. She has experience operating materials characterization equipment and writing lab reports conveying results and analysis.
