and years of work experience associated with team-working, problem solving, and providing great customer service. Highly proficient in
Microsoft Office products, programming languages, process simulation, and data analysis software like Matlab and JMP.
EDUCATION
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering – Cum Laude Graduated: May 2015
Major GPA 3.28/4.0
SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT
Bakken Shale Gas Senior Design Project, Chicago, IL January 2015 - Present
Worked in a team with 3 other student engineers to develop, design, cost estimate, and present two processing routes for dealing
with stranded associated gas from oil production in the Bakken formation in North Dakota. Management of time, deadlines, and
group members were critical skills that ensured success. Presentation of results to industry mentors, department professors, and
students on a tri-weekly basis and documenting all work in written interim reports were key deliverables on this project. Dealing
with information uncertainty while making use of all the chemical engineering learnings from prior coursework were key
challenges.
Team leader for the first four weeks of the project in charge of setting deadlines, assigning tasks to the team, and putting together a
report and presentation on our design basis, material balances, block flow diagrams, and preliminary process flow diagrams.
INTERNSHIP
Nicor Gas Company, North Aurora, IL May 2011 – August 2011
Earned operator qualification on atmospheric corrosion surveys and performed maintenance on gas meters, first stage regulators,
and other equipment in the field all while instilling a highly efficient method of execution that increased the rate that corrosion
surveys could be performed by 150%.
Learned symbolism and terminology associated with natural gas pipeline dimensions and material specifications and utilized this
knowledge to update pipeline maps at various Nicor satellites in the Greater Chicagoland area.
WORK EXPERIENCE
UIC Mathematical Sciences Learning Center, Chicago, IL
Teacher’s Aid October 2014 - Present
Assisted fellow students with math coursework and concepts including Pre-calculus, Calculus, and Differential Equations while
practicing great multitasking skills by working with up to 6 different students at once and still ensuring that each student was given
appropriate attention and care to best enhance their individual learning experience.
College Pro Painters, Lafayette, IN
Paint Crew Member May 2012 – August 2012
Expertly performed all duties associated with painting residential housing exteriors as part of a three person team made up of
other college students.
Executed sustainable and environmentally friendly practices by properly disposing of harmful or hazardous materials in
accordance with city codes and ordinances as well as maintaining a clean work environment at all times.
Maintained a perfect safety record by adhering to OSHA regulations and remaining vigilant of personal safety and the safety of
