2. Definition
Descriptive text is a text which says
what a person or a thing is like.

3. The Purpose
The purpose of the descriptive text is to
describe and reveal a particular person,
place, or thing.

4. The Generic Structures
• Identification : contains about the
introduction of a person, place, animal,
or object will be described.
• Description : contains a description of
something such as animal, things, place
or person by describing its features,
forms, colors, or anything related to
what the writer describe.

5. Language Features
• Specific participant : has a certain
object, for example : Pangandaran
beach, Botanical Garden and so on.
• The use of the adjective to clarify the
noun.
• The use of simple present tense,
because tells the fact of the object
described.
• Action verb.
