Nowadays by seeing the present scenario AIR is the essential element to live & Air Quality Index is a tool to distinguish the benefit of air quality. There are different methods to identify AQI, based on many impurities viz. PM2.5, PM10,CO were used to compare ambient air quality. By calculating AQI we define the quality level of air to be good, moderate, and hazardous as AQI is calculated by using the reference of "The United States Environmental Protection Agency" We are using thingspeak server to fetch the data into the cloud, so anyone can access the data in their respective location. We are not only focusing on stationary measurement but also on the real time value measurement of AQI. Which helps common people to access the Air Quality Index throughout the city and help them decide to stay in a cleaner air environment? Thus the foremost idea of AQI is to inform people about their air quality so they can step to defend their health.

4. INTRODUCTION
• Air quality is a climacteric issue for our environment. Understanding the large
impact of air pollution is crucial to public health. Awareness of daily levels of
air pollution is important to the citizens, especially for those who suffer from
various health issues caused by exposure to air pollution. The purpose of the AQI
is to inform people about their air quality so they can take steps to protect their
health. This is especially important whenever the AQI exceeds 100. Low value like
0-50 indicates good quality of the index and above 150 AQI leads to unhealthy
environment. In this project the air quality detection will be done by hardware
module and fetching the data using various sensor such as PM2.5, PM10, CO along with
cloud server to send to the local people. The main fundamental of an air quality
index (AQI) that transforms leaden values of individual air pollution related
guidelines (e.g. PM10, CO, visibility, etc.) into accurate numbers is highly used for air
quality communication and under obligation in many countries.

14. SOCIAL IMPACT OF THE PROJECT
Understanding the large impact of air pollution is crucial to public
health. We know how important clean Air is it for life due to
inhalation of harmful air we found clear evidence that such effect
exists and varies between pollutants, visitors and residents, and
different activity types. many common people have different problems
such as headaches, fatigue, dizziness, irritations, and sensations of
nausea, cancer, COPD, and COVID-19 due to pollutant air, so if this poor
quality of air will improve, many people will get health benefits from
this kind of diseases as well as we will make sure to get a pure
environment to live and not only by air but this kind of pollutants
also effective on plants and animals too so the whole ecosystem will
get improved.

17. SPECIFICATIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS.
1. MICROCONTROLLER:
Raspberry pi 3b+ is a Broadcom BCM2837B0, Cortex-
A53 (ARMv8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.4GHz, 1GB LPDDR2 SDRAM,
Extended 40-pin GPIO header.
2. CARBON MONOXIDE SENSOR (MQ 7):
The MQ-7 sensor can measure CO concentrations
ranging from 20 to 2000ppm.
This sensor has a high sensitivity and fast
response time. The sensor's output is an analog
resistance.
3. PM 2.5 (SDS011):
It works on the principle of laser scattering and
can get the particle concentration between 0.3 to
10μm in the air.
4. PM10 SENSOR:
It has Low Current Consumption: 20mA max, Typical
Operating Voltage: 4.5V to 5.5V, Minimum Detectable
Dust Size: 0.5µm, Sensing Time: Less than 1 Second

CO, PM2.5 and PM10 sensors is connected to Raspberry
Pi module via Analog to digital IC Module. ADC
converter converts the analog data of sensors to the
binary data to raspberry pi.
Raspberry Pi is further connected on the Local
Network. Data is sent to cloud network by connecting
all of them on local network (Thingspeak Software).
Users will also be able to see day to day air quality
index in the graphical form as well as the excel
sheets in thingspeak server.

20. PROPOSED OUTCOME.
• The following given image shows the output of air
quality detection. It shows the CO,PM10 and PM2.5
quality in the air, which gives the value of CO, PM10
and PM2.5 in every half hour. Based upon the graph
the peak reaches above 50 at nearly 12 o’clock in the
afternoon and fall to the 25 afterwards. Here we
have kept the threshold value of detection as 50. Our
project accurately detected the air quality index in
real time.

23. CONCLUSION
Based on the performance criteria considered, several systems where
compared and now we come to a conclusion that, a scientific basis in
terms of attainment of air quality standards and dose-response
relationships of various parameters have been derived and used in
arriving at breakpoint concentrations for each AQI category. Its
consideration in AQI calculation of past days will help in scrutinizing
the status of this important toxic. The proposed index has six categories
and the color schemes shown below,
It is proposed that for continuous air quality stations, AQI is reported in
near real-time for as many parameters as possible.
