● Divided into two acts.
● Central theme: based on Adi
Parva of The Mahabharata.
● Central Character: Eklavya,
Drona, and Arjuna.
● The purpose of learning
archery
4. Eklavya in the The Mahabharata
● Eklavya’s story based on Adi-
parva from Mahabharata.
● He was Nishada boy , poor
hunter from tribal community.
● Aim to learn archery from Drona
to save deer in the forest.
● Neglected by guru Drona
because of lawer caste.
5. ● He made a statue of his guru Drona and start his
practice of archery.
● After many years Drona and Arjuna became knew
that he became good archer and Arjuna became
angry.
● When Drona asked his Gurudakshina at that time
Eklavya gave his thumb without any hasitation.
● Here Eklavya represent as voicelessand subletern ,
and only story of great archer Arjuna as a ‘ hero’.
But, “ What about Eklavya? “

Arjuna:- “AN ARYA IS AN ARYA! AND A

Eklavya:- “PRIDE IN ONE’S CASTE MORE THAN
IN
ONE’S POWER TO DO GOOD.”
