14. Community Commentary
1. I think a place to share the shared library would be really great to mutualize work. Also
dynamic forms, with fields that appears depending on selection would be good so that
non-developer users can use Jenkins more easily. Today they are a bit afraid of the UI.
2. Introduction of Jenkins Pipeline (the Jenkinsfile) was a great step forward. I would really like it
if the installation and configuration of Jenkins and the plugins would be easier to declare in a
similar way.
3. As a single tool Jenkins provides a lot of flexibility not found in other solutions. The open
source nature of plugins can be a blessing and a curse. It can be easy to find a plug-in to fit a
need, but updates and compatibility with those plugins is sometimes lagging or forgotten.
