Area Investigator - Asset Protection
Work directly under the supervision of the District Asset Protection Manager,
ensuring that the Asset Protection best practices are followed; identifying losses
and developing action plans to prevent loss and reduce shrink while promoting
asset protection awareness within 12 Sports Authority stores within the Chicago,
Burbank, Ridgeland, Bricktown, North Riverside, and other Illinois Sports
Authority store areas.
Monitor store staff, vendors, and visitors sales floor and point of sale activities to
identify fraudulent internal or external theft/fraud while initiating internal and
external investigations of dishonest activities.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly audits while validating compliance
with physical security and other “Operation Audit Best Practice” standards (EAS,
CCTV, alarm, locks, cash office, receiving, etc). Also, provide store by store
coaching and training to team members as appropriate to correct any and all
deficiencies and failures that require correction on store audits.
