• Ivy Lee and Edward Louis Bernays established the definition of public relation in
the early 1900’s which states it as ‘a management function, which tabulates public
attitudes, defines the procedures, and interests of an organizations.. Followed by
executing a program of an action to earn public understanding and acceptance.’
• Public Relation is a strategic communication through which companies,
organizations companies and individuals communicates with the public and media.
In simple words it is a bridge between them, they helps to create and maintain a
positive image a company.

Crisis Management is the system which deals with the emergencies effecting the
organizations like the sudden disturbing events that re harming the organization.

government and other key publics.
• Public Relation offers bespoke advice on what the brand should do to tackle with
the problem.

6. • Public Relation also handles press and media attentions as if some new goes public,
the pr will work more reactively as they have to respond to what’s happing in the
media and offers advices. They may also make statements on the behalf of the
business entirely.
• Ongoing support after an incident is one of the main role of PR. After the initial
crisis has passed, there will be a lot of cleaning up to do before a company can regain
its original reputation and so Public Relations company will start to heal the
damage.
